Evelyn is ONE!

Yesterday, Evelyn turned one!

   

a hardy breakfast for this tiny bean of a girl. 

Pleased to wake up to a balloon surprise!

 It was a warm, yet overcast, day. We met some friends at the zoo!

We had Evelyn's local favorites over for a party! Turns out she'd be perfectly happy living with the "WIPS" Williams/Portlocks. :) That's a story for another day. They are the best partyers!

Evelyn and Daddy. I love this sweet duo. Evy 3 weeks ---> Evy 1 year. As soon as this girl could lift her head, she never laid it down for a cuddle again...somehow Chris worked his magic and in January she rediscovered the magic of a cozy snuggle with her old man.

And here we have classic Ev- always on the run! I love her. She has a sweet temperament and usually only cries when her basic needs need to be met, or when her brother is torturing her in some way. She loves to be held and now gives cuddles and loves, always on her own terms and timeline. She moves fast and often! Maybe that's why we can't fatten up this petite thing. She loves to play, play, play, make messes, and do whatever her brother is doing.
She proudly bares 4 teeth with two on the way. She's talking more and more. Her first word was "bye-bye", but she has added ba-ba (bottle), hi, mama, quack-quack, ut-oh, and a very sincere head shake (no) to her regular vocabulary. She started walking at 10 1/2 months. We couldn't be happier to have this adorable, silly, action-packed girl in our lives!
