We're so glad you're here!

Summer has arrived and I'm feeling great about how I envision the next few months of our lives. This last week has been full of fun, which has made the colds and sore throats running rampant through our home and the homes of our friends not seem quite so bad.

Today, Michelle, Kinzie, and myself hit up the Stonegate neighborhood garage sale with the babes. I had no expectations and couldn't think of anything on my wish list (what??), so I shoved 25 bucks in my pocket and off we went. We all ended up with GREAT loot!!! Had I planned better (monetarily), I would have pushed Michelle over and run away with this sweet hiking backpack. Just kidding. Michelle, I'm really happy you got that sweet deal!
 Thomas hates to wear hats, but today he didn't seem to mind his $2 Baby Gap fedora. He and Calum looking too cool. :)
 Below is what we escaped with!
Easel= $1
Floaty= $4
Barely worn clothes from Gap and Janie & Jack= $14
xylophone= $2
Board book= 25 cents
Total spent= $21.25
To express how excited I am...my friend just bought the same floaty at Target for 20 bucks and the nice read sweater is said to have cost 50 dollars and was worn once for family pictures. Yay!
 Yesterday, we hit up the pool. It was perfect weather and the pool was almost empty of people. Great for these kids to swim laps! Thomas clung to me and wasn't so sure, but of course he was still checking things out with his goofy perma-smile. I did dunk him a couple times and was surprised to see no tears.

Last weekend, we went camping with a big group to Kenosha Pass. Friends from our first Greenwood Village Ward put the excursion together and we were happy to be invited!

Funny story that must be documented: We were driving from site to site, looking for the best place to set up camp. Two of the guys had been scouting the area and finally found the perfect place. We all set out in a long caravan of cars on a bumpy, dirt road. We were bringing up the tail. Chris was taking the bumps carefully, when we noticed that all the other cars were gone. We were lost from the group. No phone service. We drove all around, checking trail after trail with no luck. We were almost resigned to the idea of camping alone that night. At last, we saw a hand waving wildly from a little, white car headed in our direction. Thank you Michelle Foulger for saving us from a night of lonely camping, and a dinner of watermelon and s'mores!

We ate delicious camp food and stayed up late into the night playing Mafia around the fire. I knew Thomas would sleep pretty good since he would be snuggled up close to me (little clingy fella').

 We even convinced Sally to come on her first camping trip. She just looked like a natural wilderness-woman!
 The pack-n-play was deemed "the corral" where all the babies could crawl and roll on each other and fight over toys. They loved it.

Let's go SUMMER 2012!!!

So fun!! I am not a garage-saler AT ALL, but I spent two hours myself this morning over in Stonegate, too! It was crazy how huge it was!
