We've had our new sod in for a week and a half. It's still taking root and growing greener. We can't wait for it to be ready to run and play on!
Below you'll see the dirt looking all pretty and prepped for sod by Chris. We had the Sod Guys in Parker install it for us this time. I stalked them all morning and sent pictures to Chris of their progress. Also, below is our growing garden. Chris, yet again, surprised me at his know-how by installing a drip line to water the garden...which would be perfect, but we somehow tore a big hole in our hose that needs to be patched.
Most nights before Thomas goes to bed, we just sit on our porch swing and look at our green grass. :)
Tonight, we went to a Rockies game! Our realtor, who helped us find our house, gave us tickets that included a free dinner (So nice! He rocks!). Of course, it just so happened that our friends planned to go the same night. We all met up and it was so much fun!!
Thomas was a champ, minus the home runs. He's not a fan of loud cheering.
Last Friday, Chris planned to attend the ward Father/Sons camp out by himself. I only had to give a little, lonely pout, and suddenly, we were all going camping! We decided to go back up to Kenosha Pass, where we went the time before, and texted friends last minute. Awesomely enough, the Martins were camping, too, with some friends from their ward at the same place, and we just joined the party. Camping is WAY better with friends.
We cooked our food by the fire, made s'mores, ate peach cobbler, actually got a good nights rest and stayed warm, and hiked the next morning on the Colorado trail.
Now, here is one teaser "BEFORE" picture of our cabinets. I, with lots of help from Chris, have been slaving away for almost 2 weeks to redo all the kitchen cabinets. Just finished the second coat of primer this afternoon, and already getting so excited about the new look! This project will last through at least the rest of the month, but will be so worth it. I will be posting before/after/and in-between photos when it's all done. Yay!
The rest of the week includes: swimming, book club, Father's Day bbq, Girls Camp, and hopefully, a lot more work on the cabinets. I've stressed about getting it done at times, especially when Thomas decides not to nap, but summer must still be enjoyed! It's already flying by!
