Chris' dad gave us a list of family highlights of 2010 and what we all have to look forward to in 2011. I thought I'd make my own mini-lists.2010
- Nicole had just graduated from school in Dec. 2009...finally free from homework, projects, and uniform lesson plans!
- Chris graduated with MBA
- Nicole and Jayme formed a book club that met...all of one time. :) I still read LOADS of books!
- We lost our first pregnancy in April
- Chris landed an internship here in Denver in June
- Internship became a job in October. We're now Colorado residents.
- Camped this summer, A LOT.
- Fun family vacations: Young Family Cruise, Nelson 4th of July shenanigans, Young Family Reunion at Bear Lake, etc.
- I worked as a substitute teacher and now a salon receptionist
2011
This next year, our highlights/resolutions mainly revolve around 2 things:
1. We're getting into our first home in Parker, CO! I know that Chris looks forward to re-planting the front lawn in the Spring. We should close on the house next week.

2. Come July, we should be able to bring a baby back to our new home. I'm 12 weeks along. Just heard the heartbeat this week. So awesome! Last month, I was slightly obsessed with eating hamburgers and sometimes baby carrots and potatoes. I'm finally disgusted enough with that habit to start cooking again (although tonight I'm making stew that includes beef, carrots and potatoes...oh well, I'm working on it)...it also helps that I'm starting to feel better. So much to look forward to in 2011!

I am so excited for that baby and sad that we don't live closer (we could probably pretend we'd get the book club going again if we did). Thanks for the comment and cute new background yourself! It is just the most frustrating thing sometimes isn't it? You'll have to go back and check out the (yet again) new and improved.
Congratulations! Both of those things are so exciting. I'm so jealous that you have a house now! Can't wait to continue to hear news about the baby!
Look at these huge changes coming up. We can not wait to meet baby young. Lucky little thing:)
