Hooowwwll!
When I was a wee Freshman at USU, I sat in the library studying with friends. A guy I had met a couple times, Eric Defries(little did I know that I would marry Eric's best friend a couple years later), was wondering around the library and stopped at our little group. He handed us a flyer. This little handout explained that in just a few minutes everyone was to start howling from 10:00-10:10 P.M....a stress reliever during finals week. So, we joined in on the howling. There were threats and curses over the intercom from an uptight librarian, but the howling continued for 10 minutes.
Well, in case you didn't know, this is an official USU tradition now. Every Wednesday of finals week from 10-10:10. Just HOWL! I'm proud to say that my husband was one of the founding fathers of this monumental event in USU history. A friend sent Chris a sound bite last night, proving that 5 years later, the tradition lives on.
On a totally different subject. I love my CTR 5 class. A member of our primary presidency is VERY strict. She waits for complete silence EVERY time she speaks. She was scolding the whole primary on Sunday, "...well, I guess I better just sit down. I sure do get tired of waiting for you guys to be quiet while I'm standing up here..." So sincere and sympathetic, Miles (boy in our class) empathizes, "I know exactly how you feel." His other comment after the chorister congratulated them on how great they were behaving, "We should get a treat!" Oh dear, maybe we've been bribing our class a little too much lately...
And that ends my random update for today.
