November 18: Thomas turned 4 months old. He did great with shots and weighed in at 15 lbs (50th percentile) while his precious melon of a head still measured in the 80th percentile.
The doctor gave the go-ahead on rice cereal. Naturally, a couple days later, Thomas tried it and loved it. This was one day before flying to Utah for Thanksgiving. It took ONE DAY to learn a valuable lesson. Don't let your baby try new things right before traveling. Fussiness (luckily not on the plane), inconsolable screaming, and a whole new kind of diaper. Whew! It was a relief when he got that out of his system. T gets a little more time with the "all-milk" diet...like until after Christmas.
We did have a great Young Family Thanksgiving of over-eating (at least I know I did), relaxing, watching movies, a little shopping, and even family pictures (hopefully we'll see those soon!) Unfortunately, I rarely remembered to pull out the camera.
Grandma Young
Cousins, Thomas and Miles, discussed the plans for the release of their band's first album "Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing" with hit single, "Kaboom! That's how I blowout!" Miles gave us a sneak peak during family pictures.
Uncle Spenny!
Grandma and Grandpa Johnson shared some good stories and pie. All in all it was a great vacation!

I love having Thomas a few weeks older than Karli so I can learn from you. Haha! Really it is wonderful:) My doctor said we can start Karli on rice cereal whenever now but after reading this I will also wait until after Christmas. Good idea and thanks! We will just keep going strong with the nursing. Thomas is so cute and I hope to get our little babies together again soon!
Oh man. Mona Jean hated rice cereal and it stopped her up so bad. I skipped it and went to oatmeal. She liked it a lot more. Good luck with introducing new foods...it is a whole new world!!
