We woke up early to a chilly morning. Chris got the fire started and prepared a delicious breakfast. The morning started to warm up (or the fire did) and we enjoyed the view below.
I can't ALWAYS look glamorous. ;)
Last weekend, we camped and hiked up to Columbine Lake. It was a BEAUTIFUL day! Chris enjoyed cooking on our new camping "stove" and I enjoyed eating it all. We laid on a rock by the lake at the peak of our hike for a while. It was absolutely peaceful. It reminded me of those last 5 minutes of a yoga class. The instructor turns out the lights. Everyone lays on their mats, closes their eyes, and then the teacher tells you to basically forget all your worries and go to that place...you know, it might be the beach, or an open field of white snow, or...in the woods by a peaceful lake. I'll definitely envision Lake Columbine at my next yoga class.
It has been a FAST and fun summer in Denver. We're kind of in what I like to call limbo... one decision made by one person (cough, CEO at Chris's work, cough) is what we're waiting for to make a whole lot of other choices. Luckily, we're having a lot of fun while we wait.
